U20's Open King Edward Park, Lockerbie

This Saturday, 4th July, Mid Annandale AFC will be carrying out the official opening of the new £600,000 3G football pitch at King Edward Park, Lockerbie. The official opening will take place immediately before a friendly between Mid Annandale AFC and Queen of the South u20's at 2pm.
 
Festivities will commence at 11a.m. with entertaining Bubble Football until 1pm and anyone that wishes to take part can come along but must be present at 10:30 am for a safety briefing. To have a go you must be over 8 years of age.
 
The official opening of the facility will be carried out by Honorary Club President Peter Hills. Back in 1958 Peter was one of the founding members of the present club and as he approaches his 90th year he is still involved with the club.
 
Entrance to the event which will be free is extended to all and officials are hoping that as many people as possible turn up to help them celebrate the official opening of this great facility. Light refreshments will be on sale throughout the day and there will also be the chance to enter the half time 50/50 Match Draw. Mid Annandale are also awaiting confirmation of attendance from some former players who have played football at the highest level.
