All trains come into Dumfries at the same station.

There are direct trains from Glasgow and there is also the option of coming via Carlisle. Alternatively, it can sometimes be more convenient to get off the train at Lockerbie and get the bus or taxi into Dumfries.

There is a taxi rank at the station, and the ground is approximately 5 mins by car.

Walking to the ground from the station takes around 20 minutes, using the most direct route :

  1. Come out of the station on the west side, into the main car park (directly outside the front of the Station Hotel)
  2. Walk round to the right of the Station Hotel and turn right onto Lovers Walk.
  3. Follow Lovers walk round the corner to the traffic lights at the T-junction
  4. Turn left at the traffic lights onto the Edinburgh Road
  5. Follow this road into town and round the corner (keeping Greyfriars church on your right) down onto Buccleuch Street
  6. Continue down to the bottom of Buccleuch Street
  7. Follow the On Foot directions.

The alternative is to go through the centre of town. This will take slightly longer but has more options for refreshment along the way :

  1. Come out of the station on the west side, into the main car park (directly outside the front of the Station Hotel)
  2. Walk up the hill, to the left of the Station Hotel, to the traffic lights
  3. Turn right at the traffic lights onto St Marys Street
  4. Continue on St Marys Street, past the Cairndale Hotel and council buildings.
  5. Continue onto English Street and follow this up the hill into town
  6. From here, you can take any street, as long as you keep walking in the same direction, you will come onto the High Street
  7. Follow the On Foot directions.

The stadium is about a 10 minute walk from the centre of Dumfries. From the High Street, head towards Greyfriars Church and then down Buccleuch Street, or find the Whitesands and walk along it with the river on your left.

Then :

  1. Cross the Buccleuch Street bridge over the river, to the traffic lights.
  2. Turn right at the traffic lights, onto the Glasgow Road.
  3. Take the first left, onto David Street.
  4. Take the first right onto King Street
  5. Home Fans
  6. Follow King Street until you come to the Ice Bowl.
  7. Continue round to the right side of the Ice Bowl
  8. You are now at the ground and can either enter the Rosefield Salvage stand or Oakbank Services terrace from here, or walk round the back of the terrace to the Arena and Gates Power Transmission stand
  9. Away Fans
  10. Follow King Street but turn left just before the Ice Bowl
  11. Take the next right, which will take you behind the Ice Bowl to the away section of the Rosefield Salvage stand.

Below is a map showing the stadium. The grey area on the left (off Lochfield Road) is the car park
