All set for Alloa

Now that we`re out of the Scottish Cup we must fully focus on Saturday`s game with Alloa Athletic.

They`re our closest rivals but we do have a useful nine point advantage over them.

We`ve already beaten them twice this season, 5-2 in the League Cup and 1-0 in the league, although both games were at Palmerston.

But we can take nothing for granted and manager Allan Johnston will be treating the opposition with the respect they deserve.

Looking back to Saturday, Kilmarnock manager Kenny Shiels agreed the early dismissal of Stephen McKenna (in just two minutes) had a major impact on the final result.

And he added, "I felt we deserved the win but had I been a Queens` fan I`d be upset at the referee`s decision.

"It didn`t merit a red-card so early in the game."

Even `Killie`s` Gary Harkins conceded, "I must admit, it was a bit unjust".

Official attendance at Rugby Park was 4295 with a tremendous travelling support of 962.
