Live TV Matches - Some Season Tickets Holders Affected

As supporters will be aware, two of our next three home fixtures are being covered live on television with Saturday`s match v Raith Rovers on BBC Alba at 5:30pm whilst our home game with Rangers has been brought forward to Friday December 12th with a 7:45pm kick off for coverage on BT Sport.

The existing small tv gantry at the rear of the Rosefield Salvage Stand is not big enough for the camera and commentary requirements for these games and, as a result, the tv companies will require to build additional camera positions within the Rosefield Salvage Stand. At the rear of Section 5 the existing gantry will be extended across the whole of that section of the stand over the back three rows of seats. In addition a small camera position is being constructed at the back of both ends of the Rosefield Salvage Stand level with the edge of the penalty area.

These gantries are being constructed at Palmerston this week ahead of the Raith Rovers match and will be left in place until after the Rangers match as the tv companies agreed to act together to save erecting scaffolding twice in the same place in a short space of time.

As a result there are approximately a dozen season ticket holders whose seats will be lost for these games and who will need to be relocated. Their seats will also not be available for the Brora Rangers Scottish Cup tie although the season tickets are not valid for that fixture in any event. We apologise for any inconvenience to season ticket holders as a result but this is outwith our control.

All bar one of those affected are those whose seats are in the back three rows of the middle section of the Stand. If you are affected and we have a telephone number on file for you then we will contact you directly in the next few days. Otherwise, if you are affected and we have not contacted you directly please contact the club office to discuss your options for the Rangers match. Most people affected will be able to be moved somewhere very close to their existing seat unless they actively want to move to another area of the ground. Clearly at the Raith Rovers match those affected will be able to take an alternative seat at their leisure. However, with respect to the Rangers match you will require to collect a match ticket for an alternative seat as that fixture will be fully ticketed with individually numbered seating.

We thank those affected in advance for their co-operation which may of course be required again in the event of further live tv matches at Palmerston this season.
