Nicky Low

Dec 27 2018 15:00

We can now confirm that we have agreed terms with Nicky Low to join the club once the transfer window reopens on the 1st of January.  The 26 year old, midfielder has been playing over in Ireland with Derry City for the past 18 months but decided that he would like to return to Scotland once the Irish league finished. He made his first appearance for Derry in February last year and went on to play nearly 60 games for the Irish Premier Division side who also played in the Europa League.

Queens boss, Gary Naysmith said "Nicky had a few offers from other Championship clubs so I am pleased he has agreed to sign for us. He is a good age, 26, and has played in the Premier league here in Scotland for both Aberdeen and Dundee so he has a fair bit of experience. He is left footed and this will give us a nice balance and more options for the central midfield positions. Although he has been training non stop for a couple of months, Nicky hasn't played competitively since October when the Irish league finished but it won't take him long to get up to full match fitness".

Nicky will go straight into the squad for our first game of 2019 away at Inverness.
