The QoS 16's and 18's both travelled to Kinross to play Elgin City in the opening games after the summer break, with both games being played in the blistering heat.
Elgin City 16's v QoS 16's
Poor defending proved too much of an obstacle for the QoS 16's to overcome. Three errors in the first half proved costly and Queens trailed at the break. An improved second half saw goals from Liam Nish, Greg Brown and Owen Hunter and further periods of good play, but unfortunately the deficit was too big to close.
Elgin City 18's v QoS 18's
An excellent start to the game saw Queens race into a commanding lead with goals from Harry Hay, Finlay Bainbridge, Callum Summerbee and Tom Sykes. Elgin pulled one back before the break but this was to prove merely a consolation. The second half saw Queens increase their lead by virtue of an Own Goal and they saw out the game comfortably.
