James Hallam Opening

Sep 3 2019 17:10

Although they moved into their purpose built premises within the QOS Arena at the beginning of last month, insurance company, James Hallam held their official opening this afternoon.

James Hallam is one of the UK’s leading and fully independent brokers who have a reputation of providing superior risk advice and insurance management programmes.  Although they are a national company they operate out of regional offices across the UK but offer services across the world.

At the opening Paul Anscombe, Chief Executive of Seventeen Group said “We are delighted to have a new home within the Queen of the South Arena.  The business has been established in Dumfries for many years now and continues to grow so it is good to have a home where we can remain for many years to come.  The reason we are in Dumfries is due to the quality of staff that we have, many who have been recruited locally, so it’s a credit to them and we are pleased to be here”

Queens Chairman, Billy Hewitson added “We would like to officially welcome James Hallam to the Queen of the South Arena.  With around 50 staff working for them it is a real boost to have them on board.  They have been proud sponsors of the club for a number of years so it is great to increase our working relationship.

It is coming up for a year since we welcomed national broadcasters; BBC Scotland to the Arena so to have another big company operating out of the Arena is fantastic.  With a number of smaller independent businesses onsite as well we now have a wide portfolio of businesses utilising the office spaces available generating off field income for the Club.

I would like to take this opportunity to wish James Hallam and all the other businesses every success”.

Queens Boss Allan Johnston along with talisman Stephen Dobbie were in Dumfries for the grand opening and are pictured with manager, John Dougherty.
