Young Player Updates & Scottish Youth Cup Tie at Rangers

Young reserve player Owen Wiggett has today joined Lochmaben FC on loan for the rest of the season. Meantime Connor Potts, who was previously on loan to Dalbeattie Star, has left the club to join Dalbeattie on a permanent basis ahead of their Scottish Cup tie against Rothes tomorrow. Connor made one appearance for our first team this season, coming on as a substitute in the Premier Sports Cup win over Airdrie. We wish the best of luck to our neighbours at Dalbeattie Star in their cup tie. There are a large number of former QoS players at the club and also both Dom McMahon and Ryan Muir remain on loan there and have been given permission to turn out for Star in the Cup.

Elsewhere we'd also like to wish good luck to both Scott Dunn (Broomhill FC) and Matthew Henderson (East Stirlingshire) who have been given permission to feature for their loan clubs in the Scottish Cup also.

Our u18 squad are away to Rangers in tonight's Scottish FA Youth Cup 2nd Round tie. Former Threave goalkeeper Adam Maxwell, who has been on trial with the u18s for a month or so has now been registered for the club ahead of tonight's Scottish Youth Cup tie against Rangers at the Rangers Training Academy and goes straight into the squad for that game. Charlie Cowie who is still young enough to feature in the Scottish Youth Cup is also part of the squad traveling to Milngavie. First team manager Allan Johnston will be in attendance. We wish the very best of luck to Dan Armstrong and his team who have been handed as tough an opening tie as they could have been.
