We are disappointed to confirm that our QoStv match commentator, Finlay Jack, is leaving the role after this coming weekend's fixture against Arbroath. Finlay, who also wrote match reports, provided Live Updates and was involved in writing parts of the match programme, has been an integral part of the club media operation since coming on board in September 2018. He has combined his work with the club alongside his journalism studies as a student in Aberdeen and has certainly clocked up the miles and words in assisting. It's fair to say nobody quite saw the role ending up where it has following the Covid pandemic and the crucial and integral part Finlay's commentaries have played in keeping supporters in touch with matches whilst games were closed doors. Supporters and club alike are extraordinarily grateful for his talents, especially over the last two seasons.
Our loss is someone else's gain as Finlay has now got himself employment which involves Saturday working. We wish him the very best of luck in the future and look forward to welcoming him back in some capacity in future.
We hope to have a replacement commentator in place by the time of the Morton game in March. If anyone has any interest in getting involved to replace Finlay please feel free to email [email protected] to discuss further.
