Match Preview v Hamilton (A) - 26th March 2022

We are back on the road in the cinch Championship tomorrow as we make the trip to Hamilton to face Accies.

The hosts have the upper hand this season, winning all three games that we’ve played so far. Andy Ryan and Lewis Smith scored either side of Ruari Paton to give them a 2 – 1 win in Dumfries back in August. While, Andy Ryan scored the only goal of the game the last time we made the trip to Hamilton in October and David Mayo, Jamie Hamilton and Josh Mullin were all on target in a 3 – 0 victory at Palmerston in January.

Stuart Taylor’s side go into the game on the back of a confidence boosting 4 – 0 win over Partick Thistle, while we need to get back on track after losing our last three games. Accies currently sit 9 points ahead of us in 7th place.

Looking ahead to the game Manager, Wullie Gibson said “The boys played well against Kilmarnock last week but we still took nothing from the game. Dunfermline’s result over Thistle on Tuesday night is huge for them and has had an impact on the relegation picture as it now leaves us 3 points adrift at the bottom of the table but things can change quickly.

need to go to Hamilton and win the game. Points here and there aren’t going to keep us in the division. need to win games and that’s what we will be trying to do. are in it together and we all need to give that wee bit more as a team”.
