We round off 2022 tomorrow by welcoming Clyde to Palmerston. The match originally scheduled for Monday was brought forward and will be our final game of the year.
The Bully Wee were the visitors to Dumfries for our opening day fixture in league one back in July, when Lee Connelly gave us an early lead after just 20 seconds, but it was fruitless as goals from Olly McDonald, Ross Cunningham, Jordan Allan and Euan Cameron gave Clyde a 4-1 victory.
However, we reversed the result in October with a 2-1 win. Ruari Paton opened the scoring before Ross Cunningham equalised on the hour mark, but Connor Murray converted a penalty with six minutes of the game remaining at Hamilton to give us all three points.
Since our last meeting, both sides have had a change of Manager.
Ahead of the game, Grant Murray said “Losing to Kelty Hearts from a winning position in our last home game was very frustrating and then at Falkirk last week, although they had a lot of possession we worked hard and reacted to losing a goal and got ourselves ahead. When we get into that position, we need to be more ruthless at both ends to turn games into victories so we can have a better second half of the campaign.
This weekend we face Clyde, like ourselves they’ve had a change in manager since we last faced each other. They sit below us in the table, so we want to end the year on a high, with a win to open up that gap further”.

HOME supports will be located within The Alpha Solway stand, along with the West section of the BDS and the Oakbank Terracing. While for this match, section 7 & 8 in the East side of the BDS have been allocated to AWAY fans.
To gain entry to the BDS stand – HOME supporters should use turnstiles 1 & 2. Entry to the Oakbank Terrace will be via turnstiles 16 & 17 only. Please note that there will be no general entry to the BDS Stand via the terracing so please make sure you enter the ground via the correct turnstiles.
AWAY fans should use turnstile 3 to gain entry to their section of the stand.
Turnstiles will be open for spectator entry at 1345.

Season Tickets:
Season tickets are of course valid for the game. The email you received with your season ticket, and QR code(s), is all you will need for the season. The same QR code(s) should be scanned in at each game.

Adults: £18
All Concessions (OAP/Students, 16–21-year-olds): £10
U16s: £5
All Accessible tickets: £8 (including carer)
Accessible Tickets for home and away fans include a carer ticket free of charge. When buying a ticket, please select one seat for the Accessible Ticket - the carers ticket will be allocated by the office after purchase. If you require a wheelchair space, these are marked on the seat map. The seat immediately behind the wheelchair spaces have already been reserved for carers.
Please note - all concessions and accessible ticket holders should bring proof of entitlement as this will be checked at the ground prior to entry.
Tickets will be available online until kick off or at the ground on the day of the game from the ticket office located within the QOS Arena which will open at 1230. There will be no ticket office at the BDS stand for this match.
The only way to buy tickets in advance will be online.
Please note that tickets are not transferable or refundable.
Car parking will be available to all spectators within the Queen of the South Arena car park. It is suggested that buses/minibuses drop off their passengers in Terregles St/King Street and thereafter park on College Mains road just off the roundabout with the A76 on the town bypass (adjacent to Curry’s/PC World, as the other side at Aldi is the access road to the ambulance depot and is extremely busy). Pick up should be the same location as drop off. Supporters’ buses including minibuses will not be allowed to park in the Arena car park.
Recent weather might make travel difficult so supporters should allow extra time and check the Traffic Scotland website at http://trafficscotland.org/index.aspx for confirmation of any delays.
The catering outlets within the supporter’s areas of the ground will also be open for use. And the bar under the Alpha Solway stand will be open to both sets of supporters’ pre-match. The Snaq café with the Arena is also now open and will have a range of snacks on offer ahead of kick off.
For safety, QOS have adopted a robust and thorough search policy for spectators entering the ground to ensure that ground rules and regulations are strictly adhered to, especially in relation to pyrotechnic devices and controlled containers. We would like to remind supporters that letting off smoke devices is a criminal offence, and anyone found doing so will be referred to Police Scotland which may result in a custodial sentence. Not only is it against the law, but it is also extremely dangerous and a health hazard to other spectators. All bags will be searched and spectators presenting themselves for entry may also be subject to search. Spectators who refuse to be searched by stewards will be denied entry to the ground.
Palmerston Park is a non-smoking venue, this includes e cigarettes and other such devices. Stewards are empowered to eject spectators who disobey these rules. No persons will be admitted to the ground who are deemed to be under the influence of alcohol.
The club shop located in the Arena will be open until kick off where you can purchase our club merchandise. Including half-time draw tickets and match day programmes.
