Joint Top Goal-Scorer

The season may be over, but the awards keep coming for striker, Ruari Paton as he has been awarded the Mitre Golden Boot award for being joint top goal-scorer in League One.

A double on the last day of fixtures took him to 22 league goals for the campaign (25 overall) level with Airdrie’s Calum Gallagher.

On receiving the award Ruari said “It has been a great season for me personally, I would have loved to win it outright, but Gal has also had a good season. I tried to get ahead of him on the final day, but it wasn’t to be. It’s a personal award but it’s thanks to everyone in the team that I’ve scored so many. I set myself a target and I managed to reach it so to do that, to help the team and pick up awards for it is amazing.”

Congratulations Ruari
