We are delighted to announce today that both goalkeeper Gordon Botterill and winger Kieran McKechnie have extended their time with the football club.
Gordon, who only joined the club in early 2023, has earned a new one year extension to his existing contract to the end of the 23/24 season.
Kieran has agreed a 2-year contract extension with the club and will join Jack Brydon in being signed with the club until the end of the 24/25 campaign.
Manager Marvin Bartley said, "Both lads have demonstrated not only footballing ability but the character and professionalism that will be demanded from all at the football club going forward. Gordon featured towards the end of the season and showed his ability to play at this level and challenge for the number 1 shirt. He is a fantastic professional and is valuable both on and off the pitch.
Since I set foot through the door Kieran has not looked back. I explained on my first day that training well would result in an opportunity and since then he has been a mainstay in the team due to his hard work on a daily basis. He has been one of the most consistent players since January and I believe has the potential to continue improving. He has an ability to play in several positions across the attacking areas of the pitch which is also a massive positive. Again, his character and determination to be a success is to be admired and he is another player at the club who is young, hungry and keen to learn.
Rest assured that we are working diligently behind the scenes on assembling the best squad possible who will give everything both on the pitch and remain professional and hard working off it."
