Manager Marvin Bartley’s latest signing is experienced midfielder Craig McGuffie.

The 25-year-old started his career at Ayr United and had a spell at Morton. He has spent the last two years in league one with Falkirk.

On signing a one-year deal Craig said “I’m pleased to get this done. Queens were strong at the end of last season, and I think we will be stronger this time. The manager is starting to build a good young squad and I aim to add a bit of experience to the side. League one is a tough division, but I believe we can mount a decent challenge.”

The Gaffer said “A lot of the boys are young, so we needed someone with a bit of experience and despite only being 25 he has that. Craig knows the division and can help with his knowledge. He is a player who can create something out of nothing and strengthens us in attacking areas! He displayed all the professional attributes I want off the pitch in our meeting and I know he will lead by example. I can’t wait to see him in full flow next season.”
