Jim Doherty

Everyone at the club is saddened to hear of the passing of former midfielder, Jim Doherty.

The 65-year-old who began his career at his hometown club Kilmarnock joined Queens in 1987 from Clyde. During his time at Palmerston, he played 52 league games and scored 12 goals. He left Dumfries in 1989 moving to Stranraer to continue his career before injury forced him to retire.

Our thoughts are very much with Jim’s family and friends at this sad time.
