We are delighted to announce the signing of 21 year old winger Liam Smith.

Liam is a product of the Kilmarnock youth academy and had a dream move to Manchester City, as he looked to make his way into the professional game. After two years and a first professional contract at Manchester City, Liam joined Swansea City signing a two and half year deal. During his time at Swansea, Liam was capable of operating out wide or in an attacking midfield role, and is known for being direct and skillful on the ball.

Liam has been on loan to Partick Thistle for the first half of this season before this was cut short to join us on a permanent basis. He has signed a short term contract until the summer.

Liam had this to say on the move, " I am delighted to get this done, looking forward to meeting all the players and playing in front of the fans and helping the team out as much as I can.."

Manager Peter Murphy added, "We are really excited to welcome Liam to Palmerston. Liam's pedigree is there for all to see with the clubs he has been developing his style of play at which will hopefully reap rewards in the second half of the season. Liam is direct with the ball and dynamic in his movement, bringing some added guile to the team. We would like to welcome him into the squad at a crucial time of the campaign. "
