We were in CAS under 19 league action this evening with an away game at Edinburgh City. It was a very young team that took to the field with six of the under 17s side starting.
It was an excellent first half performance from the whole team and Caiden Baty opened the scoring after twenty minutes before Lewis White doubled the advantage fifteen minutes later to give Queens a two goal cushion at the break.
Half Time: Edinburgh City 0 Queens 2
The boys were very unlucky not to be further ahead at the interval but struggled to cope as Edinburgh made a fast start to the second half and were the better team from the restart until around seventy minutes, a period where they controlled the game and pulled one back.
The boys got a second wind and had a good ten minute spell where they missed a couple of great opportunities to score a third and after two great saves from their goalkeeper they regained control and as a group we looked really tired allowing them to score three goals in the final ten minutes to win the game.

Coach Eddie Warwick said “Overall we are pleased with most of the performance tonight. To be 2-1 ahead at the 80 minute mark with over half the team playing two years above their age group the players should be very proud of their performance individually and collectively. We understand we weren’t on the right side of the result tonight but we will learn and take huge positives from it moving forward.”
